ABOUT

With current contracts at 34 sites with total more than 12,000 megawatts of generation, TWPS is a major independent operations and asset services provider to the power generation market in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. This operational depth gives TWPS the unique ability to leverage from multiple site and technology knowledge, to provide the latest innovations and best practices to the benefit of our clients.

 

We provide full scope O&M services to plants as diverse as one of Western Australia’s largest coal fired power stations, gas fired combined cycle power plants in Queensland and Western Australia, and a portfolio of wind farms across South Australia and Victoria. We operate and monitor ten power generation facilities from our Centralised Control Room and provide asset services for two gas transmission pipelines. We also operate and maintain six cogeneration units providing heat and power to five Victorian Hospitals.

Executive Team

 

Russell Claxton - Chief Executive Officer

 

Russell has spent 35 years in the Energy and Power Sectors, commencing with the Queensland Electricity Commission and culminating with Senior Regional Management (MD) Roles in Australia for Alstom and General Electric. Russell held Executive Director and Directors roles for Alstom in Australia and New Zealand.  

Russell has had extensive exposure to global energy markets, particularly those in Europe and Asia and consulted on strategy and product development for developing markets. Most recently Russell created and led a consultancy company providing management, technical and engineering services to assist businesses in the transition to renewable and sustainable energy.

Russell was appointed CEO of TW Power Services by the Board in March 2018 to lead the company through the next stage of growth.

  

 

Steve Ashton - Chief Financial Officer

Steve has over 20 year’s financial experience across numerous disciplines and industries. Trained as an auditor in the UK, Steve moved to Australia in early 2001 to work for Grant Thornton.

Steve’s industry experience spans across numerous industries but in recent times he has focused heavily on financial/consulting service providers and other labour intensive industries.

Steve was appointed CFO of TWPS in 2013 to provide strong financial governance across the finance and administration functions to support TWPS growth. Prior to this Steve held similar roles at Evans & Peck & Auto Group Limited.

  

Glenn Haywood - Executive General Manager Strategy and Development

 

Glenn has spent 25 years in the Energy and Power Sectors, commencing with The Electricity Commission of NSW (Pacific Power). More recent experience has included Senior Management and Executive Roles in Australia for Alstom and General Electric, and General Management roles in Australia and Canada for WorleyParsons.

 

Glenn has had extensive experience in all forms of power generation plant including coal, gas, wind and hydro facilities, as a project engineer, project manager, technical consultant and business development leader.   Glenn has also worked in the mining and oil & gas sectors in technical and BD roles.

 

Glenn was appointed as TW Power Services’ EGM Strategy and Development in April 2018 to lead business growth in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region.  Glenn enjoys collaborating with customers and business partners to achieve mutually beneficial business outcomes.

 

Brendon Johnson - Executive Manager Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

 

Brendon has in excess of 20 years’ experience working in high risk construction, facilities management and utilities with the last 10 years as a Safety and Risk Professional.

Brendon’s a passionate and experienced safety leader having worked in the energy utilities sector for the past 8 years utilising his influencing skills to coach and mentor operational leaders to deliver safer business outcomes.

Brendon’s role at TWPS utilises his broad industry experience by providing strategic direction and operational support for Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSE&Q) Management, Compliance & Internal Audit, Knowledge and Content Management and Risk Management.

 

 

Brendan Dorricott- Executive General Manager Operations

 

Brendan has more than 20 years’ experience operational and project roles within the mining and energy sectors. Prior to joining TWPS in 2016 Brendan filled various roles during his eight years at WorleyParsons including, Bunbury Location and Operations Manager, Improve Alliance Manager. He also has operational and project management experience for a range of companies and customers across a variety of commodities and services.

Key skills and experience include leadership, technical and operational experience as well as involvement in all phases of project delivery, engineering, portfolio management, business unit management, construction, and general management on large and small projects.
